I cook a delicious onion stew, without any chilli peppers.
Infantile Mail outbound outage
I came to my system today to find rejected email messages in my inbox. A short investigation confirmed that the Infantile mail server was reaching it's clearnet proxy (which I refer to as a private exit) through a V2 onion address. Due to software updates this stopped being supported and thus the proxy stopped working.
This problem existed for about 24 hours and only outbound mail service was effected. The issues have been solved but users might have to resend mail that has bounced. The mail server tries to keep sending mail until it works or a timeout is reached. Some mails therefore might succeed in sending now the proxy is fixed.
The mail server will send you a message with subject "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" for messages that failed and need to be resent.
There is an important blog made previously about a possible outage on the weekend.
