Outage FalloutThere was a failure today with the server which had some fallout. It has been very difficult bringing the system back online. It has been one of those clusterfuck days. The system is back online and is better for it. It might sound strange but these last five hours can be thought of as a slow boot time. I am going to try and make sure nothing like this happens again. The system is back online and is stable. I can't talk too much about the problems that I had, but I can say they involved mostly hardware and then some software issues thereafter. I admit these issues were my fault and would not have happened if certain issues were addressed before this failure. |
